Alexander Stine Breslav

I research decision-making.

As a PhD candidate in Duke's Cognition & Cognitive Neuroscience program (May 2021), I use computational modeling, eye-tracking, and machine learning to study the ways in which people learn and make decisions.

Currently, I am working as a User Research & Data Science Intern at Spotify (summer 2019).

I specialize in quantitative methods such as logs analysis, surveys, and behavioral experiments. I complement my quantitative skillset with experience in running diary studies, interviews, and usability testing.

After I complete my PhD, my goal is to work as a quantitative user researcher. I am passionate about helping user research teams optimize processes with quantitative methodology. This includes making research processes more standardized and reproducible, and building tools to make log data more accessible to teams.
